About The Webinar

Feline Chronic Gingivostomatitis (FCGS) is a painful and debilitating disease in cats. Prevalence data from available studies vary from 0.7% to 12%, however most clinicians will be presented with at least a few cases per year.
It is a multi-factorial disease, and its precise cause is yet unknown.
While the mainstay of treatment is still the extraction of all premolar- and molar teeth, and sometimes full mouth extraction, medical management of cases prior to and, as necessary, after extractions will be discussed. It is often found that medical treatment alone leads to frustrating results, as does the attempt to extract while leaving root remnants behind.
There are a number of oral inflammatory conditions with similar symptoms. It is important to make the appropriate differentiation since treatment approaches will vary according to each condition.
