About The Webinar

More and more of our elderly cats are living ever-longer lives – which is wonderful. However, along with this, we see them develop ever more age-related problems, some related with the physiology of aging, others with pathological changes. This webinar will use a case-based approach to consider aging in cats, and how multiple interacting problem e.g., arthritis, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, chronic kidney disease, and dementia, etc. can result in many behavioural problems in our elderly cats. We will consider the clinical signs of a particular cat, and investigate the potential causes of her behavioural problems. We will then focusing more deeply on dementia and arthritis. After working through her diagnostic investigation, we will then consider options for her treatment and long-term management. By considering an individual cat, we will gain a great deal of understanding about the complexity of disease in elderly cats in general, and how best to go about caring for these special patients.
