About The Webinar

This webinar will focus on the indications for transfusions in dogs and cats and how to choose the right product for each particular condition. We will discuss factors involved in deciding upon suitability of donors and how to safely obtain blood for use in practice. We will also discuss the options for sourcing blood products for use in the UK. Transfusion monitoring is essential to ensure the blood components can be safely delivered and we will discuss how to monitor these cases and what to do if a suspected reaction is occurring. The webinar will finish with some real life cases discussing the rationale for choosing various blood components for dogs and cats with anaemia and/or coagulopathies.
