About The Webinar
Endocrine diseases are among the most significant and prevalent diseases of domestic ferrets. Jills have a characteristic sexual cycle with induced ovulation, and hyperoestrogenism can develop if they don’t copulate with males. Adrenal disease in ferrets is common and has particular characteristics different from Cushing’s disease of dogs. Insulinoma is the most common neoplasia of ferrets and can produce a life-threatening hypoglycaemia. This webinar will focus on the aetiology, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of these three conditions, with brief mention to other less common endocrine diseases.
