About The Webinar

Do you want to learn how a drop of blood could save a life? Emergency medicine requires critical decision making and immediate action plans to optimise patient outcome. Many clinical decisions are based on our diagnostic tests and correct interpretation of their results. In emergency medicine, these tests must be performed in-house to have rapid return of results. A drop of blood can be used to interpret PCV/TP, perform blood smears, blood glucose and point of care tests. We will discuss how to interpret all of these test, as well as emergency electrolyte interpretations; what to do with an anaemic and coagulopathic patient; as well as maximising urinalysis.
