About The Webinar

Abdominal fluid is not an uncommon finding in patients presenting for emergency evaluation. Whilst abdominal distension may be identified on clinical examination, smaller volumes of free peritoneal fluid are often only recognised on abdominal imaging. In this webinar, we will review the most common reasons for the presence of abdominal fluid in emergency patients, and discuss ways to reach a diagnosis and formulate a treatment strategy, with specific reference to indications for surgical exploration.
