About The Webinar

When producing radiographs many factors need to be considered to achieve a detailed diagnostic image. With greater responsibility being given to nurses to achieve these images it is more important than ever that nurses have a thorough understanding of these factors and their effects. Within this webinar we will focus on important points which include the welfare of the patient, common radiographic views and how to position the patient correctly to achieve diagnostic results and common film faults which may arise from ineffective positioning. We will also consider further consequences of ineffective positioning. Throughout the presentation images will be used alongside the text to demonstrate step by step positioning of some common radiographic views, including the thorax, abdomen, skull, spine and limbs.
