About The Webinar

This seminar will provide background information on the normal ossification processes of juvenile bones and those leading to the development of osteochondrosis (OC) and osteochondrosis dissecans (OCD) in the dog. After discussing the presentation and sequelae of OC/OCD in general, we will focus on specific joints with predilection of OC/OCD development. For each joint, we will evaluate clinical features, exam findings and differential diagnoses with similar presentation. Specific imaging modalities and techniques for each joint will be reviewed, with emphasis on radiography. A large part of the seminar will be dedicated to treatment options, decision-making and resulting prognoses, ranging from debridement to joint resurfacing and arthrodesis.
