About The Webinar

Pancreatitis can be a challenging condition to diagnose and treat. It varies in severity of clinical signs from mild abdominal discomfort and vomiting to severe gastrointestinal signs with associated systemic shock. Various aetiologies have been suggested but in the majority of cases this remains unknown. Diagnosis relies on a combination of clinical signs, blood test results and abdominal imaging. Treatment should be tailored to the individual patient and care taken as there are some unusual complications of disease eg pleural effusion and panniculitis. This webinar aims to guide the clinician through diagnosis and treatment of acute pancreatitis.
