Hyperadrenocorticism (HAC) is one of the most common endocrinopathy’s seen in dogs and is generally referred to as Cushings disease. The disease can present in both spontaneous (adrenal or pituitary dependent) and iatrogenic forms.
This webinar will explore the condition thoroughly, looking at disease development, signalment, clinical signs and diagnostic options. With multiple tests available and interpretation of results proving challenging at times, it is essential to assess clinical presentation alongside any diagnostic results.
Treatment should focus on effective reduction of clinical signs with both medical and surgical management options available. There are many considerations prior to embarking on a treatment regime and nurse support for the client is an essential component for a positive outcome.
This webinar aims to increase understanding of the disease with helpful hints and tips to assist nurses during the diagnostic process and when providing client care following commencement of treatment.
