About The Webinar

The increased availability of computed tomography in veterinary practice has revolutionised the diagnosis of orthopaedic disease in the last decade. This webinar will look at CT from and orthopaedic surgeon’s perspective. The use of CT in the diagnosis of both common and rare orthopaedic conditions will be discussed, including the indications for the use of intravenous and intra-articular contrast studies. It will look at how the use of CT in the planning and rehearsal of surgical procedures is facilitating improved outcomes, with reduced surgical times and fewer complications. Finally, it will look at some research applications of CT in veterinary orthopaedics which are helping us understand the pathogenesis of orthopaedic diseases such as medial patellar luxation.
