About The Webinar

Disorders resulting from cranial nerve dysfunction are relatively common neurologic presentations in general practice and a logical approach to these cases is vital to avoid misdiagnosis, to decide on the most appropriate further investigations, and in doing so ensure the best possible outcome for animal and owner. This webinar will focus on deficits involving the facial and trigeminal nerves in dogs and cats, including facial paralysis, inability to close the mouth ('dropped jaw') and masticatory muscle atrophy (unilateral and bilateral). It will include photo and video examples of these presentations, tips and tricks on how to localise the site of the problem, how to approach these cases in general practice, and a summary of some of the recent literature on these disorders.
