About The Webinar

This webinar will cover the more common presentations of heart disease in the dog and cat, such as mitral valve disease and dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in cats. The different stages of each disease will be covered, including progression to heart failure, focusing on what this means for the patient, the owner and the nurse. Brief mention will also be made of congenital diseases, arrhythmias and pericardial disease. The webinar will discuss the types of diagnostic tests required, and consider appropriate nursing care.

The aim of this webinar is to provide the nurse in general practice or in referral centres, with the understanding and confidence needed to approach the cardiac patient. This webinar is suitable for all levels of veterinary nursing.
