About The Webinar

There is always a strong public trend to keep the latest ‘must have’ pet, often without any prior thought or consideration for its husbandry and nutritional needs. People have always had a fascination with the more ‘exotic’ pet animals, with the media often driving specific trends. These animals are increasingly easily available to buy from pet shops and on-line advertisements. There is a significant risk of the animal developing husbandry and diet related problems, through a lack of knowledge or research by the owner into the animal’s basic requirements. This webinar will cover the more unusual exotic pet mammals seen now in veterinary practice and take into consideration their husbandry and nutritional needs. Handling and sexing techniques and basic biology will also be discussed for each species, as well as basic clinical techniques and common clinical conditions. This webinar is an excellent resource for practitioners, providing current information on the care of these unusual exotic pet mammals.
