About The Webinar

Canine cervical spondylomyelopathy (CSM; Wobblers Syndrome) is a degenerative vertebral column disease of large and giant breed dogs. It typically causes chronic progressive neurologic deficits and pain but dogs can also present with acute deterioration. Thanks to advanced spinal imaging much has been learned about different forms of CSM, which are divided into dynamic and static lesions. This talk will cover this disease from pathophysiology to diagnostics, treatment options and prognosis. Emphasis will be put on breed dispositions for the 2 different forms of spinal cord compression, the usefulness of CT and MRI for diagnosis and prognosis, and current recommendations for treatment.
