About The Webinar

Traumatic body wall hernias may occur due to blunt or penetrating abdominal trauma. The timing of hernia closure depends on whether organs are incarcerated or strangulated, and whether the patient is systemically stable. Where possible, delayed hernia repair may be preferable to optimise the health of the tissue surrounding the hernia. In this webinar, we will work through body wall ruptures from diagnosis to treatment, with a specific focus on surgical timing and techniques.
