Join us in this online seminar and I will share with you tips and tricks (on a step-by-step basis) of the TPLO procedure that I have learnt from great surgeons’ teaching and from more than 9 years of personal experience doing TPLOs at Fitzpatrick referrals. We will review among others: patient selection, preoperative measurements, implant size selection, advantages vs disadvantages of the use of a Jig and its application, meniscal inspection and meniscal surgeries, challenges during rotation and aids (including fibular osteotomy), management of cruciate with concurrent MPL, intra-operative bleeding management, patellar tendon laceration management, the use of double plating for giant breed dogs, what to do for dogs with residual instability at the end of the procedure, surgical closure, controversy on the use of post-operative antibiotics, management of most postoperative complications (subsequent meniscal tear, chronic surgical site infection, etc…) and postoperative care.
