About The Webinar

Necropsy is an important procedure for any vet working with birds, particularly those working with collections. Necropsy allow us to find out the cause of death and apply that knowledge to living animals, at the same time that we invaluable learn about anatomy and diseases. In this webinar we will start by studying how to be prepared for a necropsy and what tools are necessary. Then we’ll watch detailed videos guiding us step by step in the necropsy technique. We will also review the most common lesions found during necropsies. In the last section of this webinar we will discuss appropriate sample collection, interpretation and submission to the lab in order to obtain as much information as possible from a postmortem examination.
