About The Webinar
This webinar will cover everything you can do as a nurse to enhance the analgesia of all animals coming through the clinic. There will be a refresher on the mechanisms of pain and the differences in acute and chronic pain. A brief overview of what you need to know about the commonly used drugs will be followed by more detail about the other aspects of analgesia. We will cover available methods of analgesia for the prevention and treatment of both acute and chronic pain, ranging from simple techniques under anaesthesia to an introduction to the available adjunctive therapies available to animals.
