This webinar includes an introduction to the principles of getting a good ultrasound scan of the abdomen. This includes how to set up equipment optimally and use of the machine controls to optimize image quality; with useful advice regarding imaging of difficult patients and probe choice. There is also an introduction to the basic principles of image interpretation. Some case studies are also included to demonstrate the principles and allow discussion of common image faults and how to correct them. Further clinical cases are also included to demonstrate some examples of different anatomical variants and common pathology.
