About The Webinar

In this webinar, Dr Kit Sturgess discusses how to approach collapsed dogs from preparing for their arrival, key historical questions for the owner, interpretation of physical examination findings through to delivery of initial treatment. He reviews appropriate in-house testing with the emphasis on which tests need to be done, how the results should be interpreted and how the results can be used to drive treatment. Treatment is divided into two main areas. What can be done immediately that is likely to be safe and effective, and how management of common problems highlighted in the initial phase can be addressed.

By the end of the webinar, you should feel more confident when faced with a collapsed patient that you can rationalise your approach in the first hour after presentation, improving the effectiveness of your interventions and the likelihood of rapidly achieving a working diagnosis, making such cases an exciting challenge rather than ‘a bit of a nightmare’.
