About The Webinar
Managing respiratory disease is one of the most common and most vexing problems that clinicians face in food animal practice. In meat producing animals, respiratory disease is almost always a multifactorial problem with multiple infectious agents contributing to the clinical presentation. In the biological milieu of the upper respiratory tract and airways, environmental stressors and novel infectious agents change commensal or endemic organisms into pathogens. It is this complicated interplay that we do not fully understand that creates the greatest challenge in the management of Respiratory Disease Complex (RDC) for clinicians. This paper will present some practical approaches to unraveling these challenges in an evidence-based manner to improve the health and wellbeing of the swine that we care for.
