About The Webinar

Traumatic wounds occur in small animals as a result of RTAs, bites, burns and after surgical wound breakdown. This webinar will discuss principles of first aid of wounds and how to manage the wound with dressings until a healthy bed of granulation tissue forms; how to choose an appropriate dressing; how to decide whether to close a wound or leave it open and for how long; how to work out if a wound can be closed primarily or if reconstructive procedures are needed; and give a brief overview of the advantages and disadvantages of different reconstruction techniques.
