Meet the Presenter....
Sandra Sanchis Mora
Lda Vet, MVetMed, PhD, Dip ECVAA, FHEA, MRCVS
Sandra Graduated in 2007 at the UCH-CEU University in Valencia (Spain). Following this, she completed a general internship at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital of the Autonomus University of Barcelona (Spain). In 2009, she moved to UK to start a Small Animal Anaesthesia internship at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), which she continued with a 3-year residency in Anaesthesia and Analgesia at the same institution. She defended her PhD thesis in 2016 entitled “Multidisciplinary approach for improving diagnosis and treatment of canine neuropathic pain”. She obtained her Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia in 2018.
She has previously worked as a Lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesia at the University of Liverpool, and she is currently a Lecturer in Veterinary Analgesia and Anaesthesia at the Royal Veterinary College. Sandra is the head of the Pain Clinic at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals.
Sandra is particularly interested in chronic pain and has particular interest in understanding of the mechanism of neuropathic pain and the use of bedside objective measurements for the diagnosis of chronic pain, and the different treatment modalities to promote the quality of life of veterinary patients.
