David joined the Fellowes Farm Equine practice in January 2007, having previously worked in an equine practice in Newbury and recently at the Equine Hospital at Massey University in New Zealand. He holds the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Equine Orthopaedics and recently gained a Diploma from the European College of Veterinary Surgeons making him a recognised European Specialist in Equine Surgery. He has a particular interest in lameness and surgery.

This webinar will be a practical description of the increasing use of platelet rich plasma (PRP) to treat orthopaedic injuries in equine practice. It will give the practitioner the theoretical knowledge and practical insight to use PRP in their own patients. It will include descriptions of what PRP is, how it is produced, which lesions are suitable for PRP treatment, and how to treat the patient. There will be references to real clinical cases including the results of treatment.
