About The Webinar

We commonly hear the statement 'cats cannot be treated as small dogs'. Nowhere does this apply more than in the treatment of diaphragmatic hernias as cats present a unique challenge when managing this condition. This webinar covers the initial emergency management, diagnosis and definitive treatment of these cases, highlighting along the way important differences compared to their canine counterparts. The management of chronic hernias in felines are particularly challenging and this is also covered. Practical tips for everything from handling the patient in a way that avoids de-compensation, to the surgical repair and post-operative chest drain management are provided. After watching this webinar, participants will have improved confidence in their ability to successfully treat these cases.
