About The Webinar

Care of the sick foal can be one of the biggest challenges facing the equine vet in practice. This session is aimed at providing simple, practical guidelines about effective foal care in the field setting. The focus will be on practical and achievable fluid therapy and nutritional support. The most common neonatal diseases and their specific treatments will be covered. Successful outcomes also depend on case selection and a discussion of what cases are unlikely to be effectively managed in the field will be included. The webinar is suitable for all equine practitioners; from those that deal with the occasional home bred foal to larger stud clients.
