Bring MIPO To Your Practice

Join orthopaedic expert Mark Glyde on this 2-day highly practical course and bring the MIPO benefits to your patients

The recent trend towards sufficiently rigid internal fixation whilst causing the least disruption of the fracture soft tissue envelope has intensified. Minimally Invasive Plate Osteosynthesis or MIPO involves inserting bone plates through skin portals and using them in bridging mode across the fracture site. This course will teach you the essential decision-making principles of MIPO complimented by a series of wet lab practicals where you'll get comfortable with the MIPO technique.

Got 5 minutes? Let Mark talk you through the MIPO approach in a VERY tricky fracture

Come on the course and learn:
  • The essential theoretical background to MIPO
  • Decision making principles you need in order to know when a MIPO approach may be advantageous
  • Relevant fracture reduction techniques and key practical tips
  • How to use soft tissue portals to insert your bone plates
  • Which plating systems are best suited to MIPO in your practice?
  • The radiographic expectations of bone healing with MIPO
  • How to use MIPO in small animal fracture scenarios you’re likely to encounter
